Aksara Bali · Baby Name & Birth Prayer
A child’s name, a family’s mantra, a prayer over a doorway — written by hand for the people and places you protect.
Explore the commissionsThe Moment
In Bali, a name is not paperwork. It is given in ceremony, spoken over a child before the child can speak, and carried for life. The House of Prayer treats your child’s name the same way.
A birth name written in Aksara Bali, with the date of birth in the Balinese calendar. A mantra for a new home. A family name above a threshold. These are pieces made at the beginnings of things — and kept long after.
Each is written by hand, held with intention, and framed to be passed down: from the nursery wall, one day, to a home of their own.
What Is Written
Signature
Your child’s name in English and hand-written Aksara Bali, with the birth date — floating between glass. The heirloom that grows up with them.
Bespoke
A fuller work: name, birth date in the Balinese calendar, and a prayer chosen for the child — larger format with numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Home
A protective mantra or family name written for the home itself — entryway, family room, or a quiet corner kept for prayer.
Ari's hand
Final calligraphy remains Balinese, human, and named.
Aksara context
The intended meaning travels with the work, not just the visual form.
Signed record
Each commission is prepared with certificate and studio provenance.
Care path
Collectors have a route back for future family names, prayers, and updates.
Through the Glass
Handmade Paper
Torn-edge Balinese handmade paper — never trimmed, never uniform, each sheet its own.
Ink & Hand
Every stroke written by Ari's hand in Aksara Bali. No fonts. No printing. No reproduction.
Carved Teak
Frames carved by Balinese hands in Ubud and Singaraja — one craftsman lineage to another.
Floating Glass
Two panes hold the paper in air — a floating-glass presentation that lets light pass through the work.
Every prayer begins with a name spoken aloud — and lasts as long as the paper that holds it.
